A family history compiled by Thomas R. House
Samuel House came to Scituate, Plymouth Colony in 1634. His descendant in the 6th Generation, Nathaniel House, moved to the Province of Maine sometime in early 1778 after service in the Continental Army. His grandson, John Gerome House, came to Kentucky in the late 1850's. John Gerome had 6 children by 3 wives all of whom left him a widower with children. His 6 children, sons Levi, Daniel, William David, Joseph Benedict, William Henry, and daughter Hannah House Casteel married and raised families in Kentucky. Through his children, John Gerome has several thousand descendants living in many states including Kentucky.
This book traces the family from Eastwell, England to Kentucky through 10 generations. Included is a brief description of the villages and towns that were significant to the family. Bound with durable laminated covers, the book has 126 pages with references and index.
