About Us
Katherine (Kitty) House is a retired Librarian with experience in special libraries, including technical and historical libraries. She is the author of articles and book reviews that have appeared in statewide newspapers, The Filson History Quarterly, Library Journal, The Beargrass Magazine, and other publications. Kitty is a member of the First Families of Kentucky, as well as several historical societies.
A native of Bardstown, Kentucky, and with a lifelong interest in genealogy and history, she has published three histories about families in the Bardstown and Nelson County area and surrounding counties of Anderson, Bullitt, Hardin, Marion, Mercer, and Washington. Families included in her books are Abell, Brown, Edwards, Finn, Hurst, and Sharp among others.

Tom House is a retired engineer who has worked with his wife on the technical aspects associated with the publication of her books. He is a member of the Order of the Founders and Patriots of America, Kentucky Society of Mayflower Descendants, Society of the Descendants of Washington's Army at Valley Forge, National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, as well as several historical societies.
Tom has published the ancestry and history of the House family of Colesburg in Hardin County, Kentucky. He has also published the history of the Schmitt and Willems families.

Copies of the books published by Tom and Kitty may be found in the genealogical collections at the Kentucky Historical Society library and the Louisville Free Public Library. Other libraries also have copies so check their catalogs.
